But in our busy lives it\u2019s not always easy commit to things, even the most important ones. \u00a0Here are some initiatives that inspire us and will hopefully help to motivate your \u201cgiving back\u201d choice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oneacrefund.org\/\"><strong>One Acre Fund<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/One-Acre-Fund.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-563\" src=\"http:\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/One-Acre-Fund-300x279.png\" alt=\"Mandela Day Giving Back \" width=\"300\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rocketpad.co.za\/matoyana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/One-Acre-Fund-300x279.png 300w, https:\/\/rocketpad.co.za\/matoyana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/One-Acre-Fund.png 665w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Andrew Youn started a business solution for smallholder farmers, One Acre Fund, in 2006, co-founding the program in Kenya with John Gachunga. The principal of the programme is to assist farmers living in remote places, who need support in more than one area. One Acre Fund provides a complete set of services within a walking distance of the farmers it serves.<\/p>\n<p>Their service bundle includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financing for farm inputs<\/li>\n<li>Distribution of seed and fertilizer<\/li>\n<li>Training on agricultural techniques<\/li>\n<li>Market facilitation to maximize profits from harvest sales.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncvt.co.za\/donate\/\"><strong>NCVT<\/strong><\/a><strong><a href=\"http:\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/NCVT.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-564\" src=\"http:\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/NCVT-300x114.jpg\" alt=\"Mandela Day Giving Back \" width=\"300\" height=\"114\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rocketpad.co.za\/matoyana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/NCVT-300x114.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rocketpad.co.za\/matoyana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/NCVT-768x292.jpg 768w, https:\/\/rocketpad.co.za\/matoyana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/NCVT.jpg 770w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The NCVT (National Children and Violence Trust) supports vulnerable groups such as abused and violated children, women, the unemployed, and people infected and affected by HIV\/AIDS in some of the most impoverished informal settlements in Gauteng.<\/p>\n<p>The NCVT provides practical support, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Court support<\/li>\n<li>Victim Empowerment Centers (VEC) &amp; Victim Empowerment Programmes (VEP)<\/li>\n<li>Healing through art<\/li>\n<li>Music therapy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As well as being able to donate money to this life-changing NGO, they have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncvt.co.za\/donate\/\">wish list<\/a> of goods, such as Care Packs and Food Vouchers, which go to abused women and children who are in need of assistance.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/SAY.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-565\" src=\"http:\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/SAY.jpg\" alt=\"Mandela Day Giving Back \" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rocketpad.co.za\/matoyana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/SAY.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rocketpad.co.za\/matoyana\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/SAY-100x68.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Southern Africa Youth Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Southern Africa Youth Project was established in 2005 in Diepsloot, Johannesburg. It was founded by Neftaly Malatjie at the age of 14 years old, with the inspiring philosophy that; \u201cIt is time that we as young people change the way young people think about themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The youth project has some great programmes in place to motivate youngsters:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Corporate: Partnership with Corporates, managing their business models<\/li>\n<li>Job Placement: Companies place beneficiaries who have enrolled in Southern Africa Youth Programs<\/li>\n<li>Government: \u00a0Assisting the government in terms of fighting unemployment, placing youth into jobs as well as promoting skills youth from communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the words of Nelson Mandela, \u201cIt always seems impossible until it\u2019s done.\u201d So go out there and start doing it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Editorial Note:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>About:Matoyana Business Solutions<\/p>\n<p>Matoyana Business Solutions is a boutique business consulting company located in Johannesburg, South Africa.
